That being said, the information provided below has been added in order to help with most questions. Joining, and the fees that are due is dependent on a number of factors and not every scenario can be listed on this page.
Fees for Joining
Because every individual’s scenario is different, it’s best to call us at (559) 490-6400. Additionally you can download the membership application and check out page 5 which will list all of the prorated fees for joining. This will get you the best idea of what to expect when calling.

This is not a comprehensive list of fees. This list is to assist members in determining what reoccurring fees are due and when. To learn more about the associated costs in joining, please call Membership at (559) 490-6400. The best place to check to see if you have any dues outstanding is Online Services. Online Services is where you will be able to pay your bills online and print out previous years’ payments for your records (comes in handy when preparing for filing your tax returns!).

The Zipform Class shows you how to navigate this CAR software program, which provides you with all of the CAR standard transactional forms. Zipform is a program that is only available to members of CAR.

The CRS Data Class explains features of the county tax records that can be accessed through the MLS.

New Member Orientation: Once a month we offer an Orientation class to our new Members. In order to be considered a REALTOR® Member in Good Standing, REALTOR® Members are required to attend Orientation. In addition, in order to be eligible for Health Insurance through CAR, REALTOR® Members are required to attend Orientation. Fresno MLS Only Members are also required to attend.
New REALTOR® and Fresno MLS Members who attend Orientation within the first 90 days of joining will receive a refund of their Orientation Deposit.
During the Orientation Class new members will meet some of the Directors, go over the FAR Bylaws, the MLS Rules & Regulations, watch a short video on Anti-Trust Compliance, as well as an Ethics Video Mandated by NAR. Lunch is provided. Orientation takes place from 8:30am-2:30pm on the scheduled weekdays, unless otherwise notified. Please contact the FAR office to register as seating is limited. (559) 490-6400.
Designations
The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and its affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils provide a wide-range of programs and services that assist members in increasing skills, proficiency, and knowledge. Designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by NAR and each affiliated group upon completion of required courses.
The REALTORS® Land Institute
The REALTORS® Land Institute confers its prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation to only the best land professionals in the business. To qualify for the ALC designation, a land specialist must complete the organization’s rigorous LANDU education program and demonstrate a proven track record in experience and success.

Transnational Referral Certification
The goal of this certification offered by the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA) is to prepare real estate professionals to make and receive compensated referrals using the Transnational Referral system developed by the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA). Students will learn how to integrate international referrals, resulting in increased income, into their business plans. When you are involved in an international referral, as a referring or receiving agent, the Transnational Referral Certification demonstrates to other real estate professionals that you are well versed in the procedures of the Transnational Referral system, have pledged to follow a code of conduct in business dealings, and expect that compensation, paid in a timely manner, will be an integral part of the transaction.
